Frank Callaham
============

Frank Callaham joined Apple's Education Division as a Development Executive for Information Technology in the Fall of 2000. Leveraging over twelve years of experience in all facets of Academic Computing at the University of Southern California, he brings an enterprise perspective to Apple. At Apple, he consults with K12 and Higher Education institutions throughout the western US on the integration of Apple technologies - servers, storage, directories (eg. LDAP, Active Directory), networking, etc.

Vin Capone
==========

Vin Capone is the Digital Video/Quicktime Development Executive for Education. Vin has been with Apple since 1997 in the Business and Education Channels serving as both a Systems Engineer and Development Executive. In the Business Channel, Vin worked with Hollywood and the television industry to foster the adoption of Apple's products and technology. He has worked on the sets of major motion pictures, television shows and independent films. His background includes video production, cinematography, audio engineering, 3D and special effects. He is an expert on DVD production and internet delivery and streaming of content using the QuickTime frameworks. He has consulted on large storage area networks in the entertainment, biotech, and government research areas. He covers K-12 and University systems in the 14 western states for the Education Division and manages special video projects and market generation activities.

Prior to coming to Apple, Vin worked as a professional photo-journalist in both television and print. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in photo-journalism and from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Technical Photography and Remote Sensing.

David Coleman
============

David was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. At age 17 came to the US to pursue a bachelors degree and a career in high tech. From 1985 to 1999 he worked for TRW as a systems engineer / consultant for USARPAC. David presented and demonstrated a Tactical Internet based Command and Control Systems to civilian and governmental agencies. Demonstrated to Generals of the US Army to include General Collin Powell and Secretary of Defense William Cohen. David then became the lead sales engineer for the successful deployment of a FBCB2 (Land Warrior) Command and Control System.

From 1999 to 2001 he worked at DoubleClick as a Sales Engineer Manager for Latin America. Opened offices for DoubleClick in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Mexico City, Mexico.

David currently works at Apple as a Systems Engineer for the K-12 Education Market. Lives in Redwood Shores with wife Laurie and three year old daughter Nicole.

Languages: Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Hobbies: Photography. Studied Ansel Adams Zone System.

George Cook
==========

George Cook is a National Consulting Engineer for Apple's U.S. Education division. In this capacity he consults with educational institutions developing creative applications for digital media in their curriculum, research, administration and public relations activities. George brings a wealth of experience with and knowledge of digital media authoring, workflow and delivery, with an emphasis on Internet media delivery. His recent areas of focus at Apple include iTunes U, Podcasting, and live media streaming.

George has been with Apple since 1988 and consulted with customers in corporate, pre-press, advertising, design, television as well as K-12 and Higher Education. His work experience also includes IT project management at Cornell University and a stint as M.I.S. Director for A $50 million ad agency. George graduated with honors from Syracuse University's Computer Graphics program in 1984.

Muffy Francke

Muffy Francke has worked as a systems engineer for Apple Inc. for the past eight years. She specializes in guiding and supporting K12 schools in Northern California. She has a particular passion for server-client technologies and working with first time OS X users. She has been an elementary school teacher, a community newspaper owner, and a school district's network administrator. Muffy adores Hawaii and is a Mother of two, Grandmother of the cutest grandson ever. She is also crazy about Alan Wong's Restaurant.

Kepano Kekuewa
=========

Kepano Kekuewa is a proud graduate of Konawaena High School and the University of Hawaii. Kepano also received an MBA from George Washington University. Starting his IT career in 1989 as a data communications assistant working part-time at UH Mānoa (remember VT100s and VAX accounts?), Kepano has enjoyed a career with Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and now with Apple. As Hawaiiʻs higher education account executive for Apple, Kepano supports the colleges and universities across the state.

Bill Morrison is a local freelance web designer and digital media educator. A daily Photoshop user, he also has a growing interest in Flash as a multimedia agent.

Nani Daniels, Kepano Kekuewa and Jim Uyeda comprise the Hawaii-based Apple Education Team. Jim Uyeda has worked as the Apple K-20 System Engineer, covering Hawaii Education for$

In his spare time, Jim acts as Nani and Kepano's GPS, or JPS, providing driving directions at all hours of the day.

Cherie Hayes-Gigante
=================

Cherie Hayes-Gigante is an Apple Distinguished Educator and Teacher at Mid-Pacific Institute and the Hawaii Department of Education's online supplementary program, E-School. She creates instructional podcasts for her classes and incorporates student-created podcasting in a project-based curriculum with her high school Spanish students. Cherie also teaches professional development courses for teachers and is currently working with the Hawai`i Virtual Learning Network on the state initiative to expand online learning.

Steve Szabo
=========

Steve Szabo has worked in the film and video industry since 1990 as an editor, colorist, visual effects designer and more recently as a DVD/HD-DVD author. His work experience includes several television series, scores of television commercials, and a variety of other programs for major clients. He is an Apple Certified Trainer in Final Cut Pro 6, Motion 3, DVD Studio Pro 4, Soundtrack Pro 2, and Final Cut Studio 2 and has received a number of awards for editing, effects, and DVD authoring. Szabo is the owner of Digital Edge Hawaii in Honolulu.
